Sandrine Holt is the daughter of Sandrine Ho, who was born in London on 19 November 1972. Her birthplace was in London, to an Chinese mother and French father. As a young girl, her family moved from China to Canada. Before she became an actress, she was a Paris catwalk model. She made her film debut as Annuka in the year 1991 with Black Robe. This role was recognized with an award called the Genie Award, the Canadian Oscar. The films Rapa Nui Rise in Paradise The Legend of Pocahontas and Dance with the Murderer followed with guest performances for the roles of Poltergeist The Uncanny Force and Outer Limits The Unknown Dimension. For 22 episodes, she played a key role in John Woo's The Thief. Starship Troopers 2 Hero of the Federation was followed by Resident Evil Apocalypse in 2004. Both films are only available on DVDVHS. Her debut series role was 24 Twenty Four. After various guest roles in shows and in smaller roles on films Holt was cast in a lead character in Hostages in 2013, and also she played a minor role in the Netflix series House of Cards. The Returned, the US remake of The Returned, Holt played Julie Han. She was as well cast in the role of Dr. Bethany Exner in 2015.
